Tozzy is a printmaker working with materials and ideas drawn directly from nature. She has lived in the countryside all her life and nature has an emotional and inspirational effect on her. She tries to channel these emotions into her work, to create a calm, meditative space on paper. Although the works are about quietness and a constant simplification, in order for this to work the response must be passionate and uplifting, rather than passive. Colour is therefore very important, as is giving humour and character to the scraggly forms of wildlife that inhabit and animate the spaces.
