Tozzy Bridger - professional artist

Tozzy has 20 years experience making and teaching art.   She specialises in the printmaking methods of lino cuts, etching and drypoint.  Her work is inspired by the Hampshire countryside and the birds and animals that animate it.


Tozzy is based in Alton in Hampshire has a fine art degree and a

post graduate certificate of education and is DBS checked.  

Tozzy has worked in many schools and art centres including

regularly at The Lightbox in Woking and Making Space in Havant

Solent University Feb – June 2012   ‘Artists Assess to Art Colleges’ Project

During this project Tozzy researched the use of digital print technology in conjunction with traditional methods making prints on the theme of Oak Trees.  Portsmouth University School of Art Nov 2003 – April 2004 Associate Artist

Project ‘Protein Gels’ to make an artist’s book based on research at the

University and at The Sustainability Centre.  

The Sustainability Centre 2000 – 2005 Resident Artist

Based at the centre in East Meon in Hampshire Tozzy made artworks reflecting the wildlife of the centre and taught on the visiting schools programme.

Year of the Artist June 2000 – May 2001 Arts Council Project

Tozzy took part in this national project with her own project ‘A Year in a Field’ based on the life of one field in Hampshire over the course of a year.  She received funding from Southern Arts, EHDC and HCC.  During the project she was featured in a BBC South documentary  ‘Southern Eye’ as well as on South Today.
